The artists and their works. Videopresentation

In the video you can see my contribution to the show. The artwork I sent to the gallery is named Passion.

With love to the Moon I created “Passion” with a rose from the garden.

The exhibition “AmARTI in Barcelona”

I feel proud to see my name here. Now I hope that the artworks have landed.
More about the exhibition you can read here.

Tomorrow, I’ll do something I never thought I would do, or that I would have come so far to do what I shall do. But an angel crossed my path yesterday and gave me a call today with advices and tips and now it is to breathe deep in and take the courage and just do it. I would do it today if my printer had worked.
I must write that book about my life one day.

Garden in a bottle

I have two of those bottles and I will try to create a garden in a bottle.

Bottle gardens work because their sealed space creates an entirely self-sufficient ecosystem in which plants can survive by using photosynthesis to recycle nutrients.

The only external input needed to keep the plant going is light, since this provides it with the energy it needs to create its own food and continue to grow.

Light shining on the leaves of the plant is absorbed by proteins containing chlorophylls (a green pigment).

Some of that light energy is stored in the form of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), a molecule that stores energy. The rest is used to remove electrons from the water being absorbed from the soil through the plant’s roots.

These electrons then become ‘free’ – and are used in chemical reactions that convert carbon dioxide into carbohydrates, releasing oxygen.

This photosynthesis process is the opposite of the cellular respiration that occurs in other organisms, including humans, where carbohydrates containing energy react with oxygen to produce carbon dioxide, water, and release chemical energy.

But the eco-system also uses cellular respiration to break down decaying material shed by the plant. In this part of the process, bacteria inside the soil of the bottle garden absorbs the plant’s waste oxygen and releasing carbon dioxide which the growing plant can reuse.

And, of course, at night, when there is no sunlight to drive photosynthesis, the plant will also use cellular respiration to keep itself alive by breaking down the stored nutrients.

Because the bottle garden is a closed environment, that means its water cycle is also a self-contained process.

The water in the bottle gets taken up by plants’ roots, is released into the air during transpiration, condenses down into the potting mixture, where the cycle begins again.

Artistic suicide

The day artists, designers, musicians, photographers, writers, etc begin to create what the market wants, that day they commit artistic suicide and they lose their unique self.

…..but even artists need food to eat.

Would the greats from yesterday survive the modern requirement for mass production?

Artist who inspire me

One of many artists who inspire me is Van Gogh. His life story touch and inspire too.

Vincent van Gogh

“And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it his brethren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and, behold, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me.”

There is the night sky filled with swirling clouds, stars ablaze with their own luminescence, and a bright crescent moon.

Starry Night by Vincent van Gogh has risen to the peak of artistic achievements. Although Van Gogh sold only one painting in his life, the aftermath of his work is enormous.

Van Gogh painted Starry Night while in an Asylum at Saint-Remy in 1889.

Winter and hearts

It has snowed during the night, but not so much that it interferes with and it is not needed shoveling. . The air is mild, the biting cold that has been in the weeks over. Maybe winter is about to retire?

Frozen Hearts, a picture I took for some years ago. An old picture. Time passes.
Two hearts of stone, next to each other, searching for sympathy
and warmth, in the cold.
Maybe I should print it in canvas as an artwork to have in the wall.

Greece and dreams

With all the cold that has been here in Sweden, I have illustrated warmth and dreams, my way to keep me warm. I played a bit with a half-finished illustration, inspired to create sun and sea.

I do not know yet what I think about the result of this illustration. Well all art don’t need to be serious and perfect:) Sometimes it’s easier to create a thought from the beginning than to try to make it from an old illustration.

I want to travel to Greece.

Naked flowers in art

One of my artworks. This one belongs to a serial of flowers. Quite different in what I usual create, in both style and theme. I hope you like it. I do. Those illustrations gives me a lot of smiles.

This one, maybe, will be one of the selected works that i will take with me to the exhibition in Stockholm. (28/6 -3/7) Hm, Its make me remind that I still I don’t know the theme of the exhibition. I must not to forget to ask about it.

Artlife in winter

Today is exactly a month ago since I return from the soloshow in New Delhi. It feels a bit strange that the time can go so fast. The first few days I had trouble acclimatize me in Sweden. The silence felt in my bare skin. The lack of people around felt strange. But it was nice to breath clean air.

I started organizing myself beside the searching for job mission. Two days ago I sent one of my artwork to a world exhibition in Barcelona. The other day I sent my contribution to a gallery in Berlin and next month, it is a gallery in Italy, which has an interesting theme that I will try to create. It would be funny if my contribution is assumed in both Berlin and Italy.
It’s some other interesting exhibitions going on this winter/spring, but I don’t have possibility to pay the fees. Next time.

It seems that my prophecies that I will be more abroad then Sweden begins to come true. Someone asked: Why do you only exhibit abroad? I replied with a twinkle in my eyes: Well, I exhibit in the galleries who want my art.
Simple facts.:)

The winter has really came to Sweden, by the way. It’s cold. Very cold. It’s magic in white satin)
